The Masters School, Lewistown Montana

I thought that this was a church, and I still suspect that it serves this function, but it is also a Christian school, located in Lewistown Montana. Other than that it is a school, with a very church like appearance, I do not know anything else about it.

  1. This building was the home of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Before the church built the current building on top of the hill at the west end of town. I used to attend 4-H club meetings there during the 1970's.

  2. St. Paul's Lutheran Church was formally dedicated on June 22, 1930 during the time when my grandfather, Rev. Paul E. Meyer was the resident Pastor. He was first assigned to the District in 1911 just out of the seminary and did mission work in the District until he was reassigned in 1932. (My mother was born in Lewistown in 1915). Work actually began in 1922 and the cornerstone was laid in 1929. A parsonage was actually built first in 1919. The church building was sold to the Central Montana Christian School in 1987. The church building is in disrepair now but the school bldg seems to be used occasionally as a dance studio and other activities.
